While driving around you'll likely spot one of the oddities of Franklin: the grave in the middle of the road. Nancy Kerlin Barnett was buried here in 1831. Decades later when the city wanted to build a road, her estate firmly refused to move the burial site.

As a result, the road was build around Nancy and the two now coexist. A moment of silence for the deceased as you pass down this strip of 400 South.

For perhaps a more uplifting experience than your time at Indiana's most visited grave, check out the Johnson County Fair. This is a classic American fairgrounds with a ferris wheel, fried dough vendors, and prizes begging to be won.
