But we’ve recently stumbled upon a unique place to shop, fondly nicknamed Atlanta’s Alternative Super Store, this is the type of crazy, one-of-a-kind store you’ll only find in Georgia. Let's go shopping at Junkman's Daughter in Georgia…
Junkman's Daughter originally began in 1982, when a woman named Pam Majors rented out a 1,000-foot store to sell things her parents accumulated over the last 40 years.
Majors had a knack for the bizarre, which is why most of the items you find inside the now-10,000 square-foot-store lean more toward unusual.
Voted one of the 25 Best Independent stores in America, Junkman's Daughter is filled with oddities, gifts for friends, weird home decor, groovy fashions, and cool collectibles.
You really can find just about anything at Junkman's Daughter, from more kitschy, kitchen items to some of the most bizarrely cool treasures.
Celebrities and trendsetters from all over the globe have visited Junkman's Daughter, including Steven Tyler, Bono, Cyndi Lauper, ZZ Top, The Clash, Betsey Johnson, Lenny Kravitz, and more.
Climb the 20-foot red high-heeled staircase in the center of the store and get a load of their insanely cool shoe department.
Or decorate your personal space with a few items you probably won't find anywhere else.
