Ogle A Beautiful Estate Decked To The Nines On This Holiday Home Tour In Georgia

One of the best things about Christmas in Georgia is driving around looking at all our beautiful light displays. Whether you prefer to go to big official Christmas events like Six Flags' Holiday in the Park or just like to mosey your way through neighborhoods looking at all the residential homes, seeing everything lit up in colorful cheer just makes everything seem brighter. If you love seeing homes decked out for the holidays, you won't want to miss any of the several holiday home tours in Georgia. One of our favorites is the marvelous Hills and Dales Estate in LaGrange. This place is gorgeous, and it's even more incredible when decorated for the season!

The Hills and Dales Estate was built for the family of textile tycoon Fuller Earle Callaway. Callaway was one of the most prominent Southern businessmen of the early 20th century. The magnificent home is built in an Italian style.

Incidentally, Callaway's son Cason Jewell Callaway went on to establish Callaway Gardens near Pine Mountain. This is another top holiday destination in Georgia.

The estate is home to the splendid Ferrell Gardens, a formal garden that's one of the most beautiful in the state.

During the holidays, the home gets completely decked out for the season.

You'll see old-style decorations that would have been common in the time the Callaways lived in the home.

The smell of Fraser fir wafts through the air, providing a joyful ambiance that you simply can't find with modern plastic garlands and decor.

The massive tree is covered in shiny tinsel and is the crowning jewel of this magnificent mansion.
