There are a lot of really cool stores in Georgia: we love the quirkiness of Junkman's Daughter and the massive Cobb Antique Mall is perfect for seeking out hidden treasures. But when it comes to music stores, one place stands up above all else: the bizarre Graveface Records and Curiosities in downtown Savannah. This tiny shop is like nowhere you've been before, with a massive collection of records, CDs, and cassettes, but also arcade games, taxidermy, and everything unique and macabre. If you like weird, this is the spot for you!
Graveface Records is tucked away in Savannah's downtown district, but it's not in the historic area near the river that most tourists tend to stick to.
Instead, it's in the city's artsy Starland District, an area filled with charming shops and tons of character.
You'll find character aplenty at Graveface Records.
The quirky little shop carries tons of records, cassettes, and CDs, primarily from lesser-known and independent artists, but with popular titles as well.
The atmosphere is great if you enjoy weird places in Georgia. You'll see bizarre decor all over the walls, and some of it is for sale.
You may be familiar with the owner's other project, Graveface Museum. It's located in a separate building off River Street.
If you've been to the museum and love it, you won't want to miss out on Graveface Records, which has a similar vibe.
You can find all kinds of weird treasures here, from true crime books to creepy stuffed animals (of both the plush and taxidermied variety).
The Graveface mystery packs are a big hit. Purchase a "grab bag" if you're wanting to try out some new music you've never heard before.
Whether you're a music aficionado, or just enjoy the vibe, this music store in Georgia is one place that's got a delightfully weird atmosphere.
