One of my favorite things to do in fall in Georgia is visit a farm market. Though the Peach State has more than its share of bustling metropolitan areas, agriculture is still the backbone of Georgia's economy, and there is certainly no shortage of farm towns all over the state, whether you're up in our mountains or down in rural South Georgia. One of the state's most popular fall destinations is the little town of Ellijay, a city in Gilmer County with a population of around 2,000 people. It's nicknamed the apple capital of Georgia thanks to its fruit production and annual Apple Festival, held each October. It's here that you'll find the delightful Panorama Farm Market. This year-round market sells a variety of fruits and fresh-baked goods throughout the year, but come fall, it's home to some of the best apple cider donuts in Georgia. Check it out:

Panorama Orchards is a family-owned farm that's been in the area since the 1920s. It started as a small fruit stand that specialized in apples, but has grown immensely in the last century. You'll now find a multitude of fruits available throughout the year, including blueberries, peaches, strawberries, pumpkins, and more, but apples remain a beloved specialty here. The farm grows 20 different varieties of apples, guaranteeing there's something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to apples, you'll find plenty of freshly-baked goodies throughout the year, including breads and pies.

Of course, the fresh produce is also available for sale. Apples and pumpkins are a hot commodity in the fall!

This old-fashioned farm market carries plenty of other goodies, too. Fresh jars of jam and preserves line the shelves, and there's even a colorful selection of old-fashioned candies.
