Shank's Waterfront Restaurant is located in Clinton.

You can find it at the Harborside Marina, located at 131 Grove Street. They serve up classic New England seafood, from fried clam strips to lobster bisque. But this BYOB joint didn't always look like this.

It started as a 1974 Bruno & Stillman 42’ Commercial Lobster Boat.

After being used as a research vessel for 20 years, it was finally decommissioned, which is when Shanks stepped in. It took nearly a year to customize the boat and convert it in to a state of the art kitchen.

But now food is served right out the back of this fully transportable lobster boat!

Sounder, the boat's name, has quickly become a fan favorite for seaside diners. Being served by a boat on a dock just makes the experience feel more authentic!

Especially since they have some pretty sweet outdoor dining.

The raised deck offers visitors great views, unobstructed by docking boats. But don't just take my word for it.
