Antiquing is quite possibly one of my favorite hobbies. Think about it: with antiquing, you are not only on somewhat of your own treasure hunt, but you are also delving into fascinating history and learning more without even trying! If you are like me and think antiquing through even a dilapidated old shack is fun, wait until you experience thrifting in this beautiful old barn:
Welcome to The Barn; the "oldest... most magical... most unique" antique and specialty store
located in the stunning Denver suburb of Castle Rock!
Opened in 1998, the shop is housed inside an old 100+ year old barn, which before serving as a home for antiques served as the old Douglas County Mercantile.
When you visit The Barn today, be prepared to stop and stay awhile, as The Barn "tries to cater to every personality" with such individual shops as Whitewash...
"Whitewash Timeless Romantic Style with Vintage Charm Chippy ~ Shabby ~ Creamy White."
...the cozy Book Nook...
(The name says it all!)
...Vintage Glam...
"Vintage Glam, located on the first level at The Barn, carries a beautiful array of vintage accessories and decor, crystal chandeliers, old hat boxes, and sexy vintage and contemporary lingerie as well!"
...and even a colorful green house.
In addition to the individual shops and other permanent fixtures, The Barn also offers a number of special events, making for even more reasons to come back and visit!
The Barn Antiques & Specialty Shops is located at 400 3rd Street in Castle Rock and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
