The Most Beautiful Public Restroom In America Is Located Right Here In Colorado… And You Are Going To Want To See It

There are some pretty unusual attractions in Colorado, but this might just be the weirdest of them all. I, like pretty much everyone, have used many public restrooms, and whilst sitting here reminiscing about these trips (which I never thought I would have to do), realized that I would consider only a small handful of them to be "beautiful." That said, I recently discovered that there is such a thing as "America’s Best Restroom," and that the winner of this odd and prestigious recognition is actually a Colorado outhouse. The Eagle County town of Minturn was incorporated in 1904 and offered a bustling job market due to the nearby mines and the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad.

Over the decades, Minturn continuously adapted and changed with the times and is now a popular hub for outdoor recreation.

In addition to being just a stone’s throw away from world-class skiing and hiking opportunities, Minturn is also known for something that’s pretty stinking unique: it's the home "America’s Best Restroom."

Let’s take a closer look at this Perfect with a capital "pee" (see what I did there?) restroom.

Minturn’s public restrooms truly are architecturally stunning and feature artistic touches that give a nod to the region’s history.

The unique design is reminiscent of horizontal passageways found in Colorado mines.

We have to admit, we've never seen restrooms like these before!
