We’ve got some news that’s sure to be music to your ears. We found an amazingly unique park for you to add to your bucket list – and it’s Eureka Springs Music Park. Boasting several interactive sound sculptures in a peaceful setting, it’s truly one-of-a-kind…literally. Not only is it the only park of its kind in the state, but it's actually the only music park in the U.S.
Music, art, and nature unite at Eureka Springs Music Park!
As soon as you set eyes on the park, it’s clear it’s anything but typical. The “yarn-bombed” trees are likely to be your first indication.
The colorful tree coverings are courtesy of local yarn-ologist, Gina Gallina.
Touted as “an interactive sound sculpture experience,” the park is comprised of a handful of musical instruments in a natural acoustic setting.
There’s no other park in the U.S. like it. Its individuality isn’t its only unique feature, though.
The way all the instruments are harmoniously tuned to each other is also among the park’s distinctive features.
Even the instruments are unique – each is made mostly of found and re-purposed materials.
The highlight of the park, though, is no doubt the 20-foot-long chime, known as Give Peace A Chance (GPAC).
Mr. Plant, a drum-like instrument, is also a popular park feature.
In addition to GPAC and Mr. Plant, there are two other instruments scattered throughout the park.
Each instrument is different but they can all be played by hand or with the soft mallets provided.
Other park perks include easy trolley access, free parking, and restrooms.
