On the opening night of March 1, 1930, 400 people came to Wonderland Cave in Arkansas to experience the “Largest Natural Place of Amusement in America.”
The vaulted chamber and the huge dance floor made this venue the perfect place to dance the night away.
Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, the hidden club was themed after Alice in Wonderland, and it was the most unique place in Bella Vista. Per this Wonderland Cave photo, you can see its unique layout and get a feel for its charm.
As the largest underground nightclub in America, the venue attracted the likes of Duke Ellington and Cab Calloway, who performed jazz music for the audience.
