Every summer the tiny town of Cave City, Arkansas turns into a delicious watermelon wonderland. Let's take a bite of these sweet melons and see what is happening at the Cave City Watermelon Festival.

There's a small town in Arkansas that's famous for its sweet watermelons.

Each year the town hosts a fantastically sweet watermelon festival.

The Cave City Watermelon Festival has been happening since 1980.

Each year the festival is held in late July.

The three-day event will be filled with live music and activities.

Besides classic festivities like a parade, 5k, and car show, this watermelon fest will have an Amazing Watermelon Race (think of a fruit-themed Amazing Race), a watermelon speed eating contest, and a watermelon selfie challenge.

Everyone will be joining in on the festivities.

Last year, committee members brought the festival to the Cave City Nursing Home. This is definitely one festival that every age can enjoy.

One of the sweetest events will be the free watermelon fest.

It's been the signature event ever since the festival began.

You'll also get the chance to take home the winning melons.

Prize melons will be auctioned off on the last day of the festival. Proceeds will go to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in memory of Millie Walling.

This is one watermelon wonderland you won't want to miss.
