Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival is a family-friendly festival that features food, games, prizes, live entertainment, and so much more. Eat some tacos, listen to some tunes, and have a great time!
Who doesn't love a good party? If you agree with that sentiment, you'll definitely want to attend the Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival on Saturday, May 7, 2023.
Located at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Washington Street in the heart of downtown Phoenix, the festival is Arizona's largest and longest-running Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Gates open at 12 p.m., and activities include traditional dance performances, lucha libre wrestling, and heaps of delicious food and beverage vendors.
There will also be games, prizes, and a special kids zone to keep the little ones entertained. It's a whole-family affair!
Be sure to stick around for the stacked entertainment lineup that includes such bands as Grammy-award-winning Los Lonely Boys, Latin Breed, Lakeside, and more. Local bands open at 12:30 p.m., and national bands begin at 5:30 p.m.
One of the best things about the festival is that it supports a great cause. In partnership with Grand Canyon University, Arvizu Scholarships has awarded over $600,000 to minority high school students since the event's inception. Sponsor checks are awarded on-site, so you get to witness lives being changed forever!
General admission to the festival is $10 at the gate (or $5 if you arrive before 5 p.m.). Children under 10 get in free. VIP admission costs $40 per person and includes VIP stage access, VIP seating, VIP restrooms, and a private bar. "Exclusivo" tickets are $75 each and include all the perks of VIP admission, plus three complimentary drinks and four street tacos per person. For more information about the event, including a full schedule of events, visit the Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival website or Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival Facebook page.
