Take This Fall Foliage Trail Ride Through Delaware For A Truly Unique Experience
Lums Pond is the most hikeable lake in Delaware, especially in the fall. Miles of trails open up to gorgeous views of the large freshwater pond. You don’t just have to hike these trails, though – did you know you can go horseback riding in Delaware, right through this stunning state park?
The hour long tour will take you through Lums Pond during its most scenic season, and no riding experience is required. Sunset Stables charges just $35 per person. You should show up in jeans (or other long pants) and boots with a small heel, just to keep yourself safe in the saddle. You’ll have to wear a riding helmet, as well.
Reservations are required, so call them at 302-834-7588 or visit their website to schedule your trail ride. Sunset Stables is located in Bear, adjacent to Lums Pond, on Howell School Road in Bear, Delaware.
