Delaware’s Only Trick or Treat Train Will Make You Feel Like A Kid Again

Along with the Autumn Leaf Special, Back Burner Dinner Trains, and the Hayride Express, The Wilmington and Western Railroad is offering a Halloween Express train ride this autumn! The one hour excursion is the perfect place to dress up in costume and experience the historic, scenic railway and take a trip powered by a vintage diesel locomotive! This year, the Halloween Express runs on Sunday, October 28, 2018, with departures at 12:30, 2:00 and 3:30 PM. Tickets range from $12-$14, but if you show up in your costume, you’ll ride for just $10! Children under 2 are always free.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures!
