The Top Secret Beach In Connecticut That Will Make Your Summer Complete
Connecticut is loaded with beaches, many of which attract hundreds of visitors a day. In the summertime, folks can’t get enough of the coastline and it gets harder and harder to find a parking space and a space in the sand. But there are other beaches, just a little more hidden, that are practically state secrets. Jacob’s Beach is one of those gems that no one seems to talk about. But we’re letting the cat out of the bag.
Jacob's Beach is tucked in to the town of Guilford. It offers 25 acres of sandy shore off the Long Island Sound for a small fee. Residents can get season passes and non-residents pay daily.
The beach is equipped with a playground, boat rack, picnic area, grills, pavilion and bathroom facilities. Without all the people it's easy to find a spot here and it's considerably less noisy.
At sunset, you are overwhelmed by the colorful sky. The small playground and boardwalk make it possible for the family to enjoy these views without getting sandy and wet but isn't that what summer is all about?
