Go Apple Picking, Then Sleep In A Suite Surrounded By Fall Foliage On This Weekend Getaway In Connecticut

Is there any better time to get away than autumn? The colorful array of leaves, the crisp air, and the many events and festivals occurring all combine to make a magnificent time to take a vacation. If you're looking for a great, quick fall getaway in Connecticut to take on a weekend, look no further, we've got just the spot for you. Head on down to Drazen Orchards for a delightful u-pick apple experience, followed up by a peaceful getaway in a lovely little basement suite surrounded by fall foliage.

Drazen Orchards is one of our favorite u-pick farms in Connecticut. You can find a variety of fruits here, with apples, blueberries, peaches, pumpkins, and more all seasonally available.

The farm is tucked away in Cheshire and has been around since the early 1800s.

If you're not quite up to the adventure of picking your own fruit, the farm stand is an excellent place to stop. You can pick up pre-picked fruit, vegetables, honey, donuts, pies, and plenty more here.

The experience of picking your own fruit and walking through the rows of apple trees is the perfect way to celebrate fall.

Don't want to go home right after? That's okay, we've found a great (and very affordable!) Airbnb for you that's not too far from Drazen Orchards.

Located about 20 minutes from the farm, you'll find this adorable little private apartment in Bethany. You'll have access to the beautiful backyard, which in the fall, is filled with gorgeous foliage.

You can check out the Airbnb listing for more information on this cute little spot.

Make sure to visit the Drazen Orchards website or Facebook for information about what's in season.
