Looking for somewhere to eat that’s a little off the beaten path? Something that has more of a magical air about it than your typical diner? We’ve got just the place! Cafe 1840 is a beautiful plant-filled restaurant in Connecticut that looks straight out of a fairy tale. It’s got delicious food, wonderful bubble teas, and a cozy atmosphere that’s more similar to a coffee shop than a traditional restaurant. This place hasn’t been around for very long, but it’s already making a name for itself with its diverse menu filled with amazing food. Check it out:
Cafe 1840 is located on historic Bank Street in New Milford. From the street, it looks pretty standard, just your average brick building.
You may know the restaurant by its previous name, Ironworks Cafe. It recently moved from Brookfield and was renamed in honor of its new location. Bank Street was established in the year 1840.
Get up closer to the window and you'll see this is quite the eclectic space! It's such a cozy spot that feels so homey, with plants all over the place and amazing vibes.
Don't miss out on the delicious drinks available here. The bubble tea is a great treat, and you can also enjoy coffee from Sacred Grounds, a small-batch local brewer.
