This Bakery in Connecticut Was Ripped Straight From The Pages Of A Fairytale
The Nutmeg State is not the best place to be for those on no-carb diets. We’ve got so many wonderful bakeries in Connecticut that it can be hard to keep them all straight! Sandwiches, donuts, cakes: we’ve truly got it all. One spot that is particularly magical is Marjolaine Pastry Shop in New Haven. This little spot feels like something straight out of a fairy tale. It serves up amazing homemade sweets and custom-made cakes that are absolutely superb. It’s really no wonder this place has been a local favorite for 30 years.
Marjolaine Pastry is not too far from the Yale University campus. It's a counter-serve spot with European-style pastries and a small cafe serving up breakfast items, and it's utterly delicious.
The cakes are legendary, and there are plenty of flavors to choose from. The moist cake and flavorful buttercream frosting add a wonderful "icing on the cake" to any event.
For the best selection of baked goods, you'll want to arrive early. As you can imagine, these sweet treats are popular and if you arrive too late, you won't find much to choose from!
