This Dinosaur-Themed Road Trip In Connecticut Will Take You Back To Prehistoric Times
Do you have a budding paleontologist in the family? Or maybe you, yourself are fascinated with prehistoric times. This dinosaur-themed road trip will take you straight to the best attractions in Connecticut that feature these ancient creatures. Pack up the car and get ready for a roaring good time!

here. With just over two hours of driving time, you can probably pack the whole trip into one action-packed day but if you like to take your time, you might want to spread the trip out over a weekend.
1. Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill
The first stop on this Dinosaur-Themed Road Trip is Dinosaur State Park. Her,e you'll get to check out one of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America! The tracks are protected by a huge dome and a bridge allows you to walk over top the 500 fossilized tracks. Dating back more than 200 million years ago, these fossilized footprints are truly a sight to see.

2. Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, New Haven
The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History has exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to diamonds. The museum was founded in 1866 and is one of the oldest and largest university natural history museums in the world.
The hub of the museum is the Great Hall. View a towering skeleton of a Brontosaurus and you'll be amazed at how BIG these creatures actually were. Other skeletons, fossils, and the famous
Age of Reptiles mural can also be found in the Great Hall. Don't skip out on the rest of the museum, a constantly rotating line-up of special exhibits means there's often more dinosaur fun at the Peabody!
3. The Dinosaur Place at Nature's Art Village, Oakdale
Enjoy all kinds of prehistoric fun at The Dinosaur Place. Kick your visit off with a stroll along 1.5 miles of nature trails hiding 40 life-sized dinosaurs. Then visit Monty's Place, a dinosaur-themed playground where kids can climb and slide on the playscape.
