If you’re looking for great seafood in Connecticut, you don’t have to go far. Even the farthest inland areas of the Nutmeg State are still only a few hours from the water. One of our favorite spots that specializes in fried seafood in Connecticut is Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock. This charming, no-frills eatery is right on the water and serves up amazing fried fish and shrimp like nowhere else.

Captain Scott's is a seasonal spot that has been delighting visitors since it opened back in 1996.

It's little more than a simple take-out window with picnic tables out front, but it sure is delicious!
There's also a covered area you can eat under if you'd rather eat your food on the premises but in the shade.
