Where are the best restaurants with waterfront dining in Connecticut?

Connecticut is lucky to be a state with miles of pristine beaches, and with plenty of beautiful beaches comes plenty of visitors – and visitors are going to get hungry. Luckily for them, there’s plenty of waterfront restaurants throughout the state that are sure to enthrall anyone who walks through their doors. Some of these legendarily beautiful waterfront nosh-spots are happening spots in New Haven like Shell & Bones Oyster Bar & Grill and Anthony’s Ocean View. The WHARF in Madison is another elegant restaurant known for its views of the water (and its stellar menu), and so is BREAKWATER, in Stonington.

What are the best restaurants in Connecticut?

Though “best” is a pretty subjective term (and thus it’s hard to narrow things down to just a few picks), we do have a few personal favorites when it comes to dining in Connecticut that we’re happy to share. Some of our faves include the totally-unbeatable Stowe’s Seafood, in West Haven, where you’ll find some of the best ocean-based protein out there, and Jimmie’s of Savin Rock in West Haven is beyond amazing. Ripka’s Beach Café is another excellent Connecticut favorite that everyone, local and visitor alike, should definitely try once. What are the most popular restaurants in Connecticut?

According to Connecticut Mag, the most popular dining joints you can possibly visit are an elite group that worked hard to earn their places on the list. Among their picks for the most popular restaurants in Connecticut are gems like The Cottage, a delightful place with Japanese flair, and the strange-but-awesome Elizabeth’s Farmhouse, in Putnam. Other highly sought-after restaurants include Grano Arso, in Chester, which has seen tremendous growth and popularity during its short lifespan thus far, and House of Naan in New Haven can’t be passed up, either.
