Wade In The Refreshing Waters On The Scenic Beach At Jackson Lake State Park In Colorado
♫Oh, the weather outside is stinking hot, and venturing into it takes everything you’ve got… Do you know the feeling? Contrary to popular belief by non-Coloradans, the Centennial State can get downright brutal in the summer, which is why we are extra thankful for cool and refreshing places like the scenic beach at Jackson Lake State Park:
Nestled away in the rolling plains of northeast Colorado, Jackson Lake State Park is an outdoor oasis that many have never heard of, but all will enjoy.
Named one of the "Top 15 Park Beaches" by Reserve America, Jackson Lake State Park is THE place to be during the summer, thanks - in part - to its namesake lake, which is fed by the South Platte River and features two swim beaches with perfect temperatures and shallow depths.
Please note: As of this publication, boating in Jackson Lake may be closed due to the irrigation district pulling water out of the reservoir. For more information, please call (970) 645-2551.
Do you want to make an entire weekend out of your trip? Jackson Lake State Park also houses 251 campsites, including spots for your tent and places to hook up your RV.
As if you needed another reason to visit, Jackson Lake State Park is also home to both biking and hiking trails, world-class hunting, and ample wildlife sightings.
