Nestled within Denver’s Bear Creek Park lies a large and colorful playground fit for children of all ages. While the concept of having a play area in a park is nothing new, a certain slide at Bear Creek Park that is shaped like an over-sized sombrero certainly is! For decades, this area of the aptly nicknamed “Sombrero Park” — which features what appears to be a giant napping in the sand while his hat, legs, and boots peek out — has delighted guests of all ages by giving them a new type of playground to climb up, slide down, and just enjoy. Whether you are a kid or a self-proclaimed kid at heart, you are sure to get a kick out of this one-of-a-kind Denver roadside attraction.
(Bear Creek Park is located at 3550 S Raleigh St and is open daily from 5 am to 11 pm.)
