Here’s The Most Scenic Drive You Can Possibly Take In Colorado This Winter

Let’s face it: You can drive on pretty much anyone of Colorado’s beautiful and scenic roads, add some soft snow, and be taking one of the most stunning drives of your life! However, when it comes to this one gorgeous drive in particular, there is something truly magnificent and inspiring about it that you do not want to miss this winter.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Located near Estes Park inside of Rocky Mountain National Park, Bear Lake Road is a large and positively breathtaking drive that passes through a number of lovely gems including Sprague Lake (pictured), several trail heads, thousands of mature trees, and other traditional mountain landscape. Originally built in 1928, Bear Lake Road is a surprisingly fun and smooth drive that is not only open year-round, but also boasts more than 5-miles of recently repaved and updated highway. When driving Bear Lake, be sure to take it through to the end of the line, which — in this case — is Bear Lake itself, which is a premiere RMNP hiking destination!
