A weekend might not be enough time to visit Switzerland, but it’s the perfect amount of time to wine, dine, and explore the Little Switzerland of America, which, lucky for us, is right here in Arkansas!
Skip the long, expensive flight. You can have a Swiss adventure in Eureka Springs, otherwise known as the Little Switzerland of America.
The nickname couldn’t be more fitting. Sure, Eureka Springs is located in the Ozarks, not the Alps, but it’s brimming with alpine vibes – thanks, in part, to its steep winding streets and historic architecture.
The town’s appearance is only part of what makes it worthy of the nickname, though. The other part is Swiss-inspired destinations, like The Bavarian Inn Restaurant.
The Stone House in downtown Eureka Springs is another must-visit for wine lovers. An “urban wine bar,” it serves up an array of wine, beer, and charcuterie boards.
And despite its small size, Eureka Springs is home to quite a few renowned destinations, including the Christ of the Ozarks sculpture and Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church, which was featured on Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
