Hiding in plain sight, the overlook is located at the end of a short path off a dirt road.
There’s a small pull-off parking area where you can leave your car. The gravel path leading to the overlook is visible from the parking area.
Roughly 40 feet, the path is extremely short. However, it’s rather steep, so you’ll definitely want to wear shoes with good grip (i.e. no flip-flops).
Your effort will be rewarded almost instantly – the view from Red Bluff Overlook is absolutely breathtaking!
Not only is the view stunning, but it's also unique. The Buffalo River makes a dramatic horseshoe curve directly below the overlook, which means you get to look upstream and downstream at the same time.
