There’s A Chilling Reason Why This Arkansas Hotel Is The Most Terrifying
The 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa in Arkansas certainly lives up to its title of “America’s Most Haunted Hotel.” Expect to have a chilling experience as soon as you get your room key. Let’s recount the thrilling tales that made this Arkansas icon such a terrifying place.

The 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa is known as America's Most Haunted Hotel. The Crescent is located in the heart of Eureka Springs at 75 Prospect Ave., Eureka Springs AR 72632.

The hotel operated as a resort catering to the wealthy carriage set. During the off season the hotel was also the Crescent College & Conservatory for Young Women until the Great Depression forced all operations to close.

That evil was "Dr." Norman Baker. The Crescent reopened as the Baker Hospital headed by the quack who proclaimed he could cure cancer. Many died because of his experiments and bodies were disposed in the 3rd floor morgue. Some claim to have seen Norman Baker himself, sometimes in the basement and sometimes at the bottom of the first floor stairs. He’s said to be wearing his staple outfit: a white suit, purple shirt, and a look of confusion.

Different patients that never checked out can be seen roaming the halls and their rooms. After 11 pm, the time when the cancer hospital moved the deceased to the morgue, you can sometimes find a nurse dressed in white. She appears in the third floor hallway, accompanied by the squeaks of an old gurney, and vanishes at the end of the hall.

Mason worker, Michael, fell and died during construction. A little girl fell down the stairs who can be seen playing in the halls. There's also Morris the cat, and a St. Bernard that roam the hotel.

After all, it's hard to believe in a haunting without experiencing it first hand. The hotel offers different packages and tours for those needing a fright.

These aren't just a few rumors from unsatisfied guests but a well documented phenomenon decades strong.
