The Cox Berry Farm in Clarksville is open now for strawberries. The pick-your-own farm has been facilitating sweet day trips for over 40 years. Look forward to picking blueberries and blackberries in June, too.

While you're in Clarksville you might as well drive to the nearby Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area. The falls make the perfect backdrop for a berry-filled picnic and a short hike will take you to two neighboring falls as well.

Arkansas' only island resort state park has recently added a fantastic paddle boat trail. The Islets Cove Paddle Trail at Lake DeGray is a three-mile loop that takes casual boaters around the north shore of the island. Besides just enjoying the scenery, the trail has multiple points of interest filled with historical tidbits.
