This Lost Arkansas Trail Is Finally Open To The Public Once Again And It’s Calling Your Name
One of Arkansas’ most treasured natural areas has recently reopened. Lost Valley Trail is now even more accessible and still just as beautiful. Let’s lace up our hiking boots and visit this gorgeous area one again.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

The trail reopened earlier this month and waterfall chasers, hikers, and photographers could not be more excited. You'll find this lovely area in Ponca, use for directions.

During the break, Lost Valley went under a 1.1-million dollar facelift. The renovations included an improved parking lot and more accessible trails. The main goal of the renovations was to protect the area from flooding as well as protect the Buffalo River's water quality further downstream.

The trail is about 2.4-miles long and is much more accessible than it had been originally. The calm running waters, interesting rock formations, and aromatic wildflowers make this trail quite the sensation.

Prepare to get muddy but a bit of spelunking will reward you with an awe-inspiring subterranean waterfall. Even if you're not wanting to crawl with a headlamp, the cave is still interesting to explore around the entrance.

Lost Valley has so many beautiful spots but the most treasured feature will always be Eden Falls. It's certainly easy to see why this area is considered a little slice of heaven. Always research ahead of time before hitting any trail, we suggest this site for more details on Lost Valley.
