I’ll admit to being pleasantly surprised by how many castles there are in Arkansas. You see, I’m from a rural area in the part of the state where you’re more likely to find cattle than a castle, and when my friends began to tell me about all the castles in the Natural State, it was surprising. Much to my delight, turns out the handful of castles in Arkansas are truly incredible places. Each one of Arkansas's castles are incredible in their own way, but when it comes to feeling like you’re in a fairy tale one castle surpasses the rest. It’s called the Castle on Stagecoach and it’s located in Little Rock.
You can find directions here.
Please note, Castle on Stagecoach is temporarily closed.
Adorned with a house that was built in 1935, the Castle on Stagecoach is part of a 100-acre estate.
Those hundred acres are incredibly scenic.
When you drive up, you may get a glimpse of the gorgeous draft horses grazing in the fields.
The horses aren’t just for decoration, though. They also have jobs that give the castle grounds an extra fairy-tale element.
When you finally arrive at the castle, you’ll get a view of the incredible Castle House. . .
. . . which is beautiful from the front . . .
. . . and even has a turret in the back.
In fact, the area right behind the Castle House is practically paradise.
You can set up special lighting for your event.
Don’t discount the beauty of a castle under cover of night, either.
In addition to being a venue, the castle is also a private residence. That’s right, someone is actually lucky enough to live there.
Portions of the castle are available for events.
The homey interior lives up to the perfectly landscaped grounds and the awe-inspiring facade.
It’s a popular place for weddings, proposals, corporate events, and all kinds of parties.
The Castle on Stagecoach also hosts Sunday brunch and holds public events throughout the year.
Whether you want your event to take place inside the castle . . .
. . . or outside on the grounds . . .
. . . the Castle on Stagecoach specializes in making you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale.
