The stubborn heat may be lingering but the crisp mornings are stirring up fall excitement for Arkansans. What better way to welcome autumn’s arrival than to spend the day at a pumpkin patch. Arkansas Frontier is an interactive living history farm that provides a peek into the pioneer lifestyle of the early 1900s. Besides having educational fun, the farm has a petting zoo, hayrides, and an enchanted forest. The U-Pick Pumpkin Patch is open and ready for your Jack O’ Lantern needs.

This will be the farm’s 18th year of fun at the pumpkin patch. Every weekend in October will feature different family activities such as crafts, face painting, and pony rides.

During the day, guests can enjoy the pumpkin patch, cornfield mazes, and pig scrambles. However, at night the farm transforms into Horror in the Hollow. Get spooked at the haunted walk-through or take part in the Zombie Paintball Patrol.

This farm has a fantastic variety of pumpkins for the picking. From minis to oversized gourds, everyone in the family will be able to find the perfect pumpkin. The farm also offers a pumpkin trail with a myriad of fairy tale characters.

The Drewry farmers pride themselves on having a non-commercialized patch so that guests can simply enjoy the outdoors without the crowds. Besides picking pumpkins, the farm offers movie nights, hay rides, and a fully homegrown stocked store.

Just outside of Cabot, Hicks Family Farms has plenty of family fun. The farm has a petting zoo, corn maze, and of course a pumpkin patch!

It’ll be impossible not to find the perfect pumpkin at the six acres of patch at Legacy Farms. One of the newer features is the Pumpkin Jump, a huge inflatable pillow that’s guaranteed to be a blast.

If you’re searching for a unique pumpkin, a giant-stem pumpkin from Shipley’s will be a match! This farm near Tontitown has a wide variety of pumpkins, squash, and gourds.

Any visit to Motley’s will feel like a fall festival. The farm has wagon rides, play areas, and pig races. Besides being able to pick pumpkins off the vine, Motley's also offers assorted gourds, corn stocks, mums, and hay bales.

They may be known for their elaborate mazes but the 10 acre pumpkin patch is certainly worth a gander too. Try out the corn cannon and pumpkin slingshot for some extra fall fun.
