People Drive From All Over Arizona To Eat At This Tiny But Legendary Steakhouse
Calling all carnivores! If you love a good steak and haven’t yet tried Leff-T’s in Dewey-Humboldt, consider this your sign to do so. Leff-T’s has quite a cult following for an unassuming, small-town restaurant – and for good reason. It’s one of the best steakhouses in Arizona, with choice cuts of meat that practically melt in your mouth, a bevy of delicious sides and deserts, and a Western-themed atmosphere that’s positively charming.
Dewey–Humboldt is a tiny town in Yavapai County with a population of just over 4,000. Only 15 miles east of Prescott, the town is known as the "Gateway to Historic Mining Districts"... and for being home to the legendary Leff-T's Steakhouse & Grill.
The restaurant is everything you'd expect from a small-town steakhouse; vintage license plates cover the walls and Western décor is everywhere you look. There's even a wagon wheel "chandelier" dangling from the ceiling!
That being said, the restaurant's humble appearance stands in stark contrast to its wild popularity. On weekends especially, the place is buzzing with locals and tourists alike.
You'll definitely want to peruse the menu for a while before making your selections. Perhaps you'll start with a light salad and a mason jar full of sweet tea while looking over the appetizers.
Snack on loaded potato skins, shrimp cocktail, or some of Leff-T's signature wings. Don't fill up too much just yet, though - the main course is yet to come!
Meat lovers, rejoice, for there's a delicious steak to please every palate. Whether your favorite cut is a ribeye, filet mignon, or top sirloin, rest assured it's on the menu. Other entrees include BBQ, burgers and sandwiches, Southern comforts, and fish, seafood, and chicken dishes.
All steak and BBQ dinners come with soup or salad, bread, and one of the following sides: homemade mashed potatoes, baked potato, rice, seasoned fries, coleslaw, charro beans, fresh vegetable, or cottage cheese.
If you have any room left after dinner, you can't go wrong with any of the desserts. From homemade pies and cobblers to carrot cake, brownie sundaes, and bread pudding, we can't imagine a better way to top off a memorable meal.
