Way out in the west valley, in a little town known as Waddel, is a mom-and-pop general store that’s been nothing short of a labor of love since its inception almost two decades ago. In fact, it totally embraces that “out west” locale in its name: it’s the Out West General Store, and it’s been serving up a little bit of just about everything since at least 2005. Check it out, and come see why this might be our favorite little general store in Arizona!
Seriously, though, when we say Out West General Store has a little bit of everything, we mean it. And so do they!
No matter what you need, you'll probably find it (or something comparable) here. From the moment you walk in, it becomes obvious that this is gonna be one of your new favorite stops in the west valley area.
…and you'll always want to stop, because there are fun new things being added to the store's inventory every day!
Need a cowboy hat? Out West got you. Need cards? Yep. Basic day-to-day staples? Definitely. Shoes? Wallets? Bandanas? Clothing? Hoodies? Check-check-check. Tack and feed? You betcha. Farrier supplies? Duh.

This cute little restaurant, called the Cowboy Café, is located within Out West General Store and is a true hidden gem, perfect for a no-frills solo outing for some me-time or a fun day out with the family.
And hoo, boy, if the snacks and things here aren't worth the drive out on their own.
The pizza is always fresh and hot, with melty cheese that stretches across the table as you grab your slice. There are hot dogs, chili dogs, and fry bread. Enjoy pretzels, shaved ice, tacos, and SO much more.
Made fresh and delicious, Out West General Store might become a new favorite place for a quick bite. The menu is much larger than you might expect, and you can't miss the ice cream at the end, so be sure to leave room!
