There are many unique things to do in Arizona that are perfect for day trips. If you enjoy wine, take a trip through Verde Valley and stop by multiple wineries and peruse some art galleries. For a day of family fun at a natural wonder, take a trip out to Kartchner Caverns. It has miles of passageways and tunnels that are full of dazzling geological formations. Flagstaff is a great day trip town, as well, with fun attractions like the Lava River Cave, Lowell Observatory, and more science-themed spots.
