Butterfly Wonderland Of Arizona Is Home To The State’s Largest Butterfly House

Scottsdale’s Butterfly Wonderland is one of the largest butterfly houses in the U.S., featuring thousands of butterflies and various other exhibits.

Outside of the rainforest itself, Arizona is the proud home of more butterflies under one roof than anywhere else in the U.S. Scottsdale's Butterfly Wonderland at the Arizona Boardwalk boasts thousands of colorful winged creatures, and you can get up close and personal with them. If you're lucky enough, one might even land on you!

Scottsdale's Butterfly Wonderland isn't just the largest butterfly house in Arizona but one of the largest in the entire nation as well.

You'll find it on East Via de Ventura at the Arizona Boardwalk just off the 101.

This indoor rainforest paradise features thousands of butterflies of 70 different species.

You'll have the unique opportunity to observe them in a natural environment, along with colorful Koi fish, tropical birds, and even a few chickens.

Inside the Butterfly Emergence Gallery, you'll watch as butterflies leave the safety of their chrysalises and venture out into the conservatory.

It's an incredible sight to behold, showcasing the circle of life in real time.

Enter the conservatory and you'll see a variety of domestic and exotic butterflies flying around.

The colors and patterns of these delicate insects are just incredible! My daughter and I had so much fun looking at each one.

Although butterflies are the main attraction, there's so much more to see.

Also at Scottsdale's Butterfly Wonderland in Arizona is the Rainforest Reptile Exhibit, which takes you up close and personal with the reptiles and amphibians that cohabitate in the rainforest.

There are also photo ops like these butterfly wings!

Other exhibits include honeybees, arthropods, tropical marine life, and even edible insects!

We bet you've never seen crickets or chocolate-covered ants in a vending machine before.

Before you leave, stop by the Butterfly Café for a delicious meal. With both sweet and savory items on the menu, there's a little something for everyone.
