The Historic Restaurant In Arizona Where You Can Still Experience The Old American Southwest

For over 30 years, Los Dos Molinos in Phoenix has been serving up traditional New Mexican food right here in the Grand Canyon State. Easily one of the best Southwestern restaurants in Arizona, this historic, family-owned operation is known for its lively atmosphere, impeccable service, and some of the spiciest, boldest, most flavor-rich heritage cuisine you’ll ever eat.

Family-owned and operated for over 30 years, Los Dos Molinos offers a taste of traditional New Mexican cuisine one state over.

The name "Los Dos Molinos" means "The Two Grinders" in Spanish, referring to the tool used to grind up chile peppers.

Both locations feature a lively, upbeat atmosphere brimming with vibrant colors and traditional décor.

When it comes to the food, you're in for a treat if you like spice.

Appetizers range from chips and guacamole to cheese crisps to loaded French fries.

The entrée selection is vast and varied. You'll see classics like burros, enchiladas, tostadas, tacos, and tamales, plus more unique offerings such as red chile-marinated pork ribs.

Also on the menu are salads, combination plates, and family favorites such as garlic pork roast, New Mexico green chile stew, and green chile cheeseburgers.

Everything is better with an egg on top! Certain dishes, including the Enchilada Dinner (pictured), are served with a fried egg.

You'll also see a lengthy drink list comprised of specialty cocktails like margaritas and micheladas, plus wine by the glass and both domestic and imported beer.

Whatever you do, don't skip dessert. The sopapillas (also available in bite-size) are simply to die for.
