Burrito Shack in Mesa, AZ, is a family-owned roadside restaurant known for its delicious burritos and quirky charm.

By now, Arizonans know you can't judge a book (or a restaurant) by its cover, and that's especially true of this little roadside burrito shack found in Mesa. Every once in a while that one roadside shack will open up and the food is so good that people wait in line to get an order in. THIS is that place!

The Burrito Shack is a family-owned, roadside icon that many people drive right on by. But for others... the quirky appearance is part of the irresistible appeal.

And those who drive right on by simply have not discovered the delicious snacks and burritos that come from inside this humble little eatery. The menu includes 22 different burritos, all available in "shack size," or "small."

There is ample seating inside the unassuming little shack, and a window outside where you order your food.

After ordering, head inside to wait for your perfect burrito creation to pop out the pick-up window and then find a spot to enjoy! One thing for sure is that the Burrito Shack is a cozy spot to eat. Another is that it's stocked with no-frills furniture.

The same goes for the roadside outdoor seating. Comfy...

Burrito Shack is located at 5663 Power Rd. S, Mesa, AZ 85212. It's a little more than half a mile south of the Santan Freeway Power Road exit. (As a point of reference, it's approximately 35 minutes from downtown Phoenix and 90 minutes from Tucson.) The hours are Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Closed on Sunday.)
