There are few hikes that are absolutely incredible year round, and the Winner Creek Trail in Alaska is definitely one of them! Filled with stunning views of turquoise waters, and hikes through towering trees, this beautiful hike will have you feeling like you walked straight into a fairy tale. Grab your gear and head on out to this spectacular spot in Girdwood, Alaska.

By far one of our favorite hikes in Alaska is the Winner Creek Trail in Girdwood.
The trailhead has two starts: one end on the Alyeska Resort side, and one end on the Crow Creek Mine Road. It used to have a hand tram that connected the two sides of the trail, but the tram has since fallen into disuse and now you are only able to hike to the creek itself, instead of crossing it.
There’s also plenty of parking, no matter which way you head in to get to Glacier Creek. Both sides of the trail offer free parking lots to use, although the parking lots at Alyeska Resort are much larger if it’s a busy day.
This unbelievable hike is one you really have to do in person.
The fairy tale atmosphere and killer views make this a crowd pleaser for the whole family. Pack your gear and head on out on the Winner Creek Trail this year!
