Tommy’s Burger Stop opened in 2002 in the Anchorage neighborhood of Spenard and is sassy and retro, brightly colored and fun. The creative specials and giant, delicious hamburgers are a hit and people flock here for the juicy meat and the fun toppings. An actual cheeseburger heaven, the cooks crank out hundreds of excellent, juicy burgers a day for the hungry crowds. Tommy's won the Anchorage Press poll for Best Burger in the City this year, and has every year since 2014.
At this popular place to grab a burger, lines can be long as Anchorage residents can flock here to get their burger fix. Call ahead and get take out if the place is packed.
The small dining room is filled with memorabilia and kitsch, but is still comforable and clean. In the summer, outdoor patio seating doubles the capacity to 10 tables.
The cajun fries and onion rings are sold separately, but you won't want to miss these tasty treats.
Burgers are made with 100% USDA grade beef from Australia, delicately seasoned with cajon spices and grilled to perfection. All the burgers are served on a toasted bun with mayo, crisp green lettuce, freshly sliced tomatoes, onions & pickles.
The daily burger specials really shine with creativity and flavor. The Big Poppa is topped with jalapeño cream cheese, grilled jalapeños and bacon!
