As the weather gets chillier and the bears head into hibernation, we humans can’t help but to follow suit. As we steadily transform into a cozy winter lull that includes a whole lotta stretchy pants and comfort foods, we are left longing for a reason to get outdoors again. This epic multi-day road trip is the perfect balance between exploring, relaxing and indulging. Buckle up and get ready to treat your trusty taste-buds to the vacation of their lifetime.

1. Talkeetna Roadhouse – Talkeetna
The small town of Talkeetna boasts lots of memorable things. The views are incredible, the activities are endless, the shops are quirky and the people are just out-of-this-world friendly and hospitable. But what we remember the most is the way the food tasted (our taste-buds are taking control of our body). What you'll find at Talkeetna Roadhouse is a whole lotta breakfast that will blow you away. 2. The Grape Tap – Wasilla
This little hot spot is beloved for many reasons, but we particularly love how unassuming it is. Located in a charming Victorian house, this lovely restaurant that has incredible lunch and dinner options. It's hard to beat the amazing seafood and other American and European dishes. 3. F Street Station – Anchorage
After a long drive and lots of delicious food for breakfast and lunch, keep things light at the F Street Station and enjoy fresh oysters with plentiful drinks from the lounge. The nightlife here is just simply unmatched! Stay the night in downtown Anchorage after your dinner and drinks because tomorrow's breakfast is just a few blocks away. Locals and visitors alike love the bright eatery with creative cuisine that is consistently delicious. After you've had just one bite of the Deadliest Catch, your life will forever be changed. 5. The Bake Shop – Girdwood
After getting breakfast in Anchorage, head down to Girdwood to work up an appetite and enjoy hiking or skiing (depending on the time of year) at Alyeska Resort. 6. The Double Musky – Girdwood
After a full day of Girdwood adventure at Alyeska, this is where you need to be. The New Orleans Mardi-Gras style atmosphere is the perfect place to enjoy an out-of-this-world dinner with a few cocktails to boot. 7. Summit Lake Lodge – Moose Pass

8. St. Elias Brewing Company – Soldotna
After a hearty breakfast and a beautiful drive down to The Kenai, Alaska's Playground, stop at this convenient brewery located right off the the Sterling Highway when you pull into town. 9. Wasabi’s Bistro – Homer
