The Secluded Restaurant In Alabama With The Most Magical Surroundings
Here in Alabama, there’s definitely no shortage of amazing restaurants. And while most of these restaurants are easy to get to, others are more secluded and located off the beaten path. One restaurant in particular is Kowaliga Restaurant. This restaurant might be located off the beaten path, but its beautiful surroundings make it so worth the drive.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Address: 295 Kowaliga Marina Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010

In 1952, Hank Williams Jr. wrote a song about a poor, lonesome wooden Indian, which is based on the wooden Indian that once stood outside of the original restaurant.

This wooden Indian statue was carved by Cory Worden of Beneath the Bark.

And no matter where you decide to dine, indoors or outside on the patio, you'll enjoy an incredible view of Lake Martin.

In addition to arriving by car, you can also arrive to Kowaliga Restaurant by boat.
