Alabama hosts several Christmas attractions each year, many of which will fill you with holiday cheer and take you back to your childhood. One attraction, in particular, is Santa Land. To learn all about this magical Christmas attraction, take a look below.
Santa Land is a unique Christmas attraction that's located in the small North Alabama town of Rogersville. It attracts numerous families year after year, and it's also the only place in the South, if not the U.S., where you can visit Santa in his very own 8,000 sq ft castle. Santa Land's 2019 grand opening will take place on November 22.
While strolling the grounds of this magical attraction, you'll experience many types of Christmas displays. You'll also encounter more than 100 themed trees.
Several of the displays will most likely remind you of your childhood Christmases, including The Chipmunks display and...
...the display that represents the house from A Christmas Story. New displays are added each year, so you never really know what to expect.
You'll also spot a couple of Santa's reindeer during your visit to Santa Land. They're resting up before their journey to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
And we mustn't forget about "Dasher the Singing Reindeer." Visitors of all ages enjoy listening to this life-sized reindeer singing their favorite Christmas songs.
Santa Land also features a shop that's filled with festive gifts and a variety of homemade treats. Don't forget to check it out during your visit.
Of course, no visit is complete without a visit with Santa. You can also have your picture taken with him. Santa Land's photo packages start at $10.99.
