There’s no better place to be during the holiday season than right here in Alabama. With such a variety of places to see and things to do, it’s such a magical place. One of Alabama’s most unique Christmas attractions is its annual Tinsel Trail. This unique outdoor attraction is perfect for all ages, and you can learn all about it below.
Alabama's Tinsel Trail is a unique Christmas attraction that's located in downtown Huntsville's Big Spring Park.
This festive Christmas tree trail, which will be celebrating its 9th year this holiday season, is one of North Alabama's top Christmas attractions. It attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The official opening date for the 2019 Tinsel Trail will be Friday, November 29th. It'll be open to the public daily until midnight, and it's a free attraction that's great for the entire family.
This year, approximately 300 live Christmas trees are expected to be a part of the Tinsel Trail, which are sponsored by a local business, group, or family.
While most of the Christmas trees will be decorated in a traditional manner, others won't. In fact, several of them won't look like Christmas trees at all. That's what makes the Tinsel Trail such a unique place. You never know what to expect year after year.
If you happen to be in Huntsville this holiday season, be sure to visit Big Spring Park and take a stroll down its festive Tinsel Trail. It'll most certainly fill you with holiday cheer.
