1. Little River Canyon National Preserve — Fort Payne

Little River Canyon National Preserve is located atop Lookout Mountain in Fort Payne, Alabama. Even though it's beautiful year-round, the preserve's colorful foliage makes it extra special during the fall season. Don't forget to add it to your fall bucket list.

2. Oak Mountain State Park — Pelham

Oak Mountain State Park is located in Pelham, Alabama. Covering nearly 10,000 acres, this beautiful state park is also the largest. It's also covered with the most colorful foliage this time of year.

Palisades Park covers 145 acres and is located atop Ebell Mountain in Oneonta, Alabama. It offers the most scenic, colorful views, and visitors are able to see for miles.

5. Cheaha State Park — Delta

Cheaha State Park is located in Delta, Alabama and is the state's oldest continuously operating state park (est. 1933). Because this state park is perched atop Cheaha Mountain, Alabama's highest natural point, visitors will experience the most breathtaking views.

6. High Falls Park — Grove Oak

High Falls Park is located in the tiny Alabama town of Grove Oak. Its two main features are High Falls, a 35-foot waterfall, and a pedestrian bridge. Over the years, this beautiful waterfall has become a popular swimming spot among the locals.

7. Blount County Covered Bridges

Because Blount County is home to three of Alabama's 13 covered bridges, it's often referred to as the Covered Bridge Capital of Alabama. Pictured is the Easley Covered Bridge, which is one of the most beautiful covered bridges to visit during Alabama's fall season.
