It's no secret that Alabama is the ultimate hiking destination. There are several trails located throughout the Yellowhammer State, many of which offer an incredible view. One trail in particular is the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail, which you can read all about below.
The Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail, established in 2004, is located near the town of Dadeville in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. It's known as the Yellowhammer State's most spectacular trail.

This 4.2-mile loop trail, which is part of the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association, is a series of interconnected hiking paths that meander through the Tallapoosa River Valley.
The Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail begins and ends at Overlook Park. It also has a moderate rating, which means it's the perfect spot for hikers of most skill levels. For safety purposes, this trail isn't recommended for children under the age of 12. For ages 12-14, strict adult supervision is recommended.
