There's No Other Winery In America Like This One In Delaware

Harvest Ridge was the fourth winery in Delaware to open up, with their first public tastings happening in 2013. The history of Harvest Ridge wine goes back way farther that that, though, to the basement of Chuck Nunan in 1995. Chuck's wine was well-loved by friends, family, and local wine enthusiasts. In 2010, Chuck visited a Charleston, South Carolina winery with his family, and decided that he would take his passion for winemaking to the net level. Chuck and his wife had purchased land in 2005 and was enjoying life on the family farm, and he decided to turn Harvest Ridge Farm into Harvest Ridge Winery. In 2011, the very first vines were planted – to make Chardonnay, Viognier, Malbec, and Merlot. Two years later, there was a new winery in Delaware open to the public!

Their food truck festivals are particualarly popular in the Spring and Fall - where you can pair several varieties of wine and cider with some of the best local food trucks. These events are affordable and memorable! You'll want to keep an eye on the Harvest Ridge calendar so you do not miss out.

Some of Harvest Ridge's best events are held when the weather's chilly and the days are short! This March, don't miss their two most popular winter events! First, on March 5, join Harvest Ridge for their Girl Scout Cookie Wine Pairings! Try wines and a cider tha tpair best with your favorite varities of Girl Scout Cookies, and learn about what makes a wine pairing just perfect. For a more thrilling event, join them onMarch 8th for their Wine and "Spirits" Event, with the well known and talented medium Deanna Fitzpatrick. Deanna offers a chance to connect with spirits on the other side, and Harvest Ridge provides the wine to round out this unique expeirence.

The historic farm spans both Delaware and Maryland land, and actually sits directly on the Mason-Dixon line. The farm is unique in that it actually contains one of the original Mason Dixon cornerstones. Number 47 is located on the property, and the number adorns several varieties of Harvest Ridge wine. Harvest Ridge Winery is open to the public daily, Sunday-Thursday from 12-5PM and on Friday and Saturday from 12-8PM. Tastings are offered every day, and for $7 you can try 8 of their wines and keep one of their signature Harvest Ridge glasses. Guided tours of the farm and winery are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, at 1 and 3PM.

The winery offers cheeses, meats and crackers for sale, but guests are welcome to bring their own food in as well.
