A summer in North Carolina without a day of splashing and cooling off in the cool waters of a mountain waterfall just wouldn’t be summer, as far as we’re concerned. One of them, Hooker Falls, is found right in the heart of the DuPont State Recreational Forest at the end of a trail that’s less than a half-mile long.
