The arrival of spring in Southern Arizona means we have a short window of time before it starts feeling like a sauna outside. What better way to soak up the gorgeous weather than searching for diamonds in the rough at an outdoor market? These seven open-air markets in the Tucson area offer everything from hand-sewn clothing to fresh produce, so rest assured you won’t leave empty-handed.
Come shop 'til you drop on the second Sunday of each month outside the Tucson Mall, where 60 vendors sell vintage, antique, and collectible items. Hours are 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, you can support the Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank by purchasing wares from local farmers, chefs, craftspeople, artisans, and designers. It's entirely open-air, making for a perfect springtime outing.

A local favorite, Foothills Sunday Market sets up shop outside the Foothills Mall on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Shoppers can browse through a little bit of everything, from fresh produce to handmade clothing to a variety of food trucks.

Located outside the historic St. Philip's Plaza, this weekly market boasts everything from artwork to handcrafted jewelry to baked goods made from scratch. Not only is the selection plentiful, but the atmosphere is brimming with peace and serenity from the ornate fountains and lush rose garden.

Held on the second Sunday of every month, Mercado Flea is an open-air market featuring more than 35 vendors selling all sorts of antique items. Grab some coffee and breakfast from your favorite Mercado District café, then spend all morning searching for that elusive diamond in the rough. Hours are 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

If you love art, don't miss the La Encantada Fine Art Market from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. Presented by the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance, this outdoor event will feature metalwork, paintings, live demos, and more incredible displays of talent by 35 local artists.

Local organization Boss Women Unite is hosting a pop-up market at Park Place Mall from 9:45 a.m. until 4 p.m, on Saturday, April 10. Produce vendors, food trucks, home-based small businesses, and a slew of other vendors will all be in attendance.
