It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and this Christmas train in Roswell isn’t just New Mexico’s most enchanting train ride, it’s an entire Christmas experience for the whole family. Every fifteen minutes this electric train leaves the station where you’ll head to St. Nicholas Station and experience an endless world of lights, activities, and so much more to help you truly embrace the Christmas spirit. Let’s all hop aboard this Christmas train in Roswell and feel the holiday spirit all through the night.
Welcome to The Roswell Christmas Railway! This holiday event is much more than a holiday train, though it is the main attraction. This Christmas train event is happening now until December 30th, 2018.
At the Roswell Christmas Railway, you can take a magical train ride into St. Nicholas Station where you'll find a world of endless holiday spirit and activities.
The railway has three different destinations to stop at along the way, and each offers endless activities and entertainment. If the train sells out, there are still walking tickets available.
One stop you can make from the railway is the World of Light. This interactive extravaganza features Christmas lights, film and dancers to truly take on the night with light. After you see the show you can walk through Twinkle Lane where thousands of lights dangle from high above, offering an enchanting atmosphere.
The Polar Zone features a telling of the Christmas story with virtual reality to truly experience it like never before. The Polar Zone also has a chocolate bar with hot chocolate elixirs made from Kakawa Chocolate House in Santa Fe. Make sure to try the chili-chocolate.
The Polar Zone also features dancing polar bears, making for an amazing photo op. In the Polar Zone there is also a Polar Pals station where kids can bring a polar bear plush to life and take it home.
Santa's Square is another stop, and perhaps the most magical. Here you will find food, shopping, and live music. Let's not forget that you'll also find the man in red - Santa. On Santa's Square you can visit his homestead and get a picture with the one and only Mr. Claus. There's also a Little Village display featuring 10 different playhouses that are all decked out.
The Roswell Christmas Railway runs from now until December 30, 2018. Tickets sell out quickly, so you'll want to purchase them as soon as possible. You can purchase tickets and learn more about the event right here. All tickets include admission to St. Nicholas Station and a hot chocolate. If early trains are sold out, it's recommended that you book your train ride for the end of your visit rather than the beginning.
