Sleep Inside An Old Ranger Station On Washington’s Hood Canal

Discover a charming and affordable vacation rental at the remodeled Hoodsport Ranger Station on Hood Canal.

Washington's Hood Canal is a quiet, peaceful, oyster-filled place we can't wait to visit again when the time is right. While you'll have your choice of accommodations when that time comes, we can't think of a cooler place to stay than this old ranger station turned guest house we discovered on Airbnb. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is both a charming and extremely affordable option.

The Ranger Station is located in the small community of Hoodsport on the Hood Canal.

On the site of the original Hoodsport Ranger Station, this place has been lovingly remodeled into a vacation cottage.

The home has two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and three beds.

It can host up to six people comfortably, although it's also perfect for a small family or a couple.

You'll have everything you need to relax and enjoy your time here, including full kitchen for making meals.

The home is also equipped with WiFi and cable TV.

At the end of a long day of hiking, kayaking, or relaxing by the water, you can gather around the table for dinner and conversation.

You'll only be a few miles away from the locally famous Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, so you can have quite the seafood feast here.

Each of the two bedrooms has a king-sized bed that's extremely comfortable and inviting.

There's also a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests.

As cozy and comfortable as The Ranger Station is inside, you'll probably spend most of your time outdoors.

After all, you'll have an incredible view of the Hood Canal from your front yard.

While rates for this home vary, it's typically available for around $100 per night -- sometimes even less.

Considering the location and the amenities, that's a steal.
